This Safety and Basic Functions Course [SBFC] teaches you the basic handling and safety aspects of the Weiler Praktikant GS lathe.
Attendees will learn practical aspects of turning, including general safety, the Cartesian coordinate system, correct fitting of tools, setting coordinates, determing the right speeds for your job, as well as traversing & facing operations.
This safety and basic functions course is a prerequisite for using the machines in MakerSpace!

For users between 16 and 18 years of age, written consent of a parent or guardian is required.
Fluent English skills
Closed shoes must be worn in the workshop at all times. Access to MakerSpace will be denied in case of non-compliance, .
