Additive manufacturing (also known as 3D printing) is revolutionising the way physical objects are designed and produced. In the past, 3D printing was used primarily for prototyping and one-off projects, but recent material developments are opening up new applications, including mass production and mass-customization.
This hands-on, one-day workshop introduces the basics of 3D printing. Using our 3D printers, we will explore unique opportunities in the design process, print examples and assess how 3D printing technologies are suitable for different applications.
