Learn the Sand Casting Basics!

In this safety and introductory course, you will gain your first hands-on experience with sand casting and learn how to operate the Rohde ME 65/13 and ME 20/13 chamber furnaces.

The sand casting process can be combined with various MakerSpace machines, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC milling machines, to create high-quality molds ranging from simple to complex designs.

During the course, you will independently create a sand mold and cast a (useful) aluminum workpiece, which you can take home at the end.

This course is a prerequisite for independently using the machines in the MakerSpace!
