Metalworking with a special twist – become a CNC pro!

In this safety and fundamentals course, you will learn how to safely operate and handle the Haas VF‑2 CNC milling machine. The machine is equipped with separate feeds on all three axes and an integrated position‑measuring system, enabling the automatic production of workpieces—even those with complex geometries.


Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for independently using the Haas VF‑2 CNC milling machine in the MakerSpace.

Prerequisites

  • Fluent English Skills
  • Successful completion of the courses CAM‑002b | Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM 2.5D for the Haas VF‑2 and MS‑002 | Metal Milling and Drilling Machine for Beginners is required. The order in which CAM‑002b and CNC‑003 are taken does not matter; however, both must be completed to obtain machine access to the Haas VF‑2.Prior knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNC machines is desirable.

 

Safety Requirements

Closed shoes must be worn in the workshop at all times. Access to MakerSpace will be denied in case of non-compliance, .
