Membership & Pricing

• What are the benefits of a makerspace membership?

  During the membership period, members can access the workshop at any time during operating hours.

• What is the 10-card?

  With the purchase of the 10-pass, you can access the workshop 10 times within a period of 3 years.

• What is a day pass?

  This is a technical requirement for our access system and is not relevant for members. Day passes allow 10-pass holders to check how many days they still have access to.

• I work at a company, what type of membership do you offer?

  If you're using our machines for commercial projects and to sell products, we'd be happy to advise you about a company membership.

• How can I pay?

  Credit Card: Enter your card details securely in your
  account for automatic online payments.
  
  PayPal: Conveniently pay online via your PayPal account.
  
  SEPA Direct Debit: Just send an email (“I want to pay by direct debit, please.”) to rechnung@maker-space.de to set up this automatic payment option.

  Bank transfer: Invoices can simply be paid by bank transfer as well (necessary info on the invoice).

  Credit or Debit Card payments at the front desk are also possible.

  Cash payments are not accepted.

  Term of notice
  Cancellation policy: your membership is automatically renewed, so you don't have to worry about that! We'd love you to stay with us, but if you do want to leave, you're more than welcome to cancel your membership at the end of any month. However, that month has passed for at least one full calendar month.

• How can I cancel my membership?

  The minimum term for your membership is one month (30 days). For example, if you start your membership on January 15th, the minimum term ends on February 15th. You can cancel your membership at the earliest at the end of this first month (30 days). If you do not cancel before February 15th, the membership will automatically be extended for another month. Access & Opening Hours

• When can I start?

  You can start whenever you like. In the first month, we will only charge you for the days left until the end of the month. After that, we will charge your membership at the beginning of each month. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership at any time (e.g., from Maker to MakerPlus, or from MakerPlus to Maker). You can easily do all of this in your account. You can book our machines after successfully completing the respective course (see our price list).

• How do I get access to the workshop?

  For smooth operations, please scan your membership card at the entrance (card reader) and at each machine you want to use. This ensures only authorized members enter the workshop and operate the machines. Please remember that workshop doors are exclusively for members, and you must not grant access to non-members. Machines may only be operated by the person whose card was scanned.

• When can I access the workshops?

  Der MakerSpace ist für dich während unserer Öffnungszeiten geöffnet. Es kann vorkommen, dass der MakerSpace während unserer Öffnungszeiten für Veranstaltungen reserviert ist. Besondere Öffnungszeiten werden direkt auf der Startseite unserer Homepage kommuniziert.

• Can I bring guests?

  Would you like to bring someone to assist you? No problem! For €10, you can request a guest pass at the Front Desk. Your guest must sign a liability waiver, and the pass is only valid on the day of purchase. Important: Guests must not operate any machines and need to stay with you at all times. Our team is always happy to assist with any questions.

Machines & Reservations

• Which machines can I use and how often?

  Successful completion of the relevant course is required to start using the machine (see our price list).
  
  Depending on your membership, you will have access to the primary workshops (3D printing, laser cutting, textile, electronics) or all workshops (MakerPlus, 10er). Use of our machines is included in your membership, The total booking time per machine per day is limited. See the overview here (https://makerspace.spaces.nexudus.com/login)

• How do I book a machine?

  Booking a machine is a piece of cake! All you need to do to get your hands on a machine is complete the relevant course (see our price list). Then, you can make a booking online via your account.

• How do I cancel a machine booking?

  No longer need the machine you booked? No problem! Cancel your booking directly from your account. This will ensure that other users can book the machine in time.

• Help with technical issues.

  If you cannot log in to a machine, it might still be occupied by another person. Simply ask if someone forgot to log out. For any other problems, our crew is always happy to assist you!

• What other services do you offer?

  As well as using our machines, we provide materials, storage and project areas. The crew will be happy to give you more
  information.

Courses

• Are courses included in the membership?

  Training is an extra special part of our membership package, which you can book at a time that suits you and us (see our price list).  We can't wait to show you what we've got to offer! Check out our upcoming courses here:

• Do I need to be a member to book a course?

  No, you don't need to be a member to book a course (see our price list). But you do need to have an account.

• How do I cancel a course booking?

  You can't make it to the course? You may cancel your booking up to 24h before the course starts. 
  To do this, you can call us (Tel.: 0895419869800) or write a Support (Help request) message.

Access Card & System

• What is Nexudus?

  Nexudus is our backend system where we manage all administrative tasks, including memberships, courses, and machine availability. To book machines or courses, a membership is required. You can explore your membership options here.

• Is my membership card transferable?

  Unfortunately, membership cards are non-transferable. For insurance reasons, we are also very strict in this matter and
  carry out checks. If you pass your card on to someone else, we reserve the right to cancel your MakerSpace membership.

• What to do if you lose your card?

  If you lose your card, please contact our team at the Front Desk as soon as possible. We will take care of everything else.

• Can I change the email address in my MakerSpace account?

  Yes. You can change the email address in your account at any time. This is especially useful if you’ve been using your university address (e.g., TUM) and want to keep access after graduation.

  How to do it:

  1. Log in to your MakerSpace account.
  2. Go to Account / Profile / Settings.
  3. Select Change email address and save your new
  4. email.
  5. Confirm the new email via the link we send you.

  Important:

  Once the new email is confirmed, you can only log in with that address.
  If you accidentally created two accounts, please contact support — we’ll help you merge them.
