Summer Update: Our August Opening Hours

In August, we will be there for you as usual at our Garching location: From August 10 to 14, we will be bundling our MakerSpace services there.

The Munich MakerSpace will remain closed during this period.

Due to smoke development in the wood dust extraction system, the wood workshop in Munich still remains closed until further notice. The cleanup work required following the incident is unfortunately extensive.

Thanks to rapid advances in 3D Printing, it is becoming one of the easiest and most cost-effective options for the production of prototypes and small production runs. FDM is the most robust 3D printing process that we offer (compared to SLA).

TIG welding stands out from other fusion‑welding processes thanks to its precision, control, and consistently high weld quality. It is especially well‑suited for workpieces with thin wall thicknesses and is widely used whenever clean, reliable, and visually appealing welds are required.
In this course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of TIG welding and build the confidence to apply the process safely and effectively.

Beim 3D-Druck werden dreidimensionale Werkstücke schichtweise aufgebaut. Dabei wird ein thermoplastischer Werkstoff (PLA, PETG, TPU) durch eine Düse aufgeschmolzen und in computergesteuerten Bahnen abgelegt. FDM bietet eine hohe Designfreiheit, erfordert wenig Nachbearbeitung und ist das robusteste 3D-Druck-Verfahren in unserem Angebot (im Vergleich zu SLA).

In this hands-on basic course, safety in the electronics workshop (AC/DC workplace, electrostatics) is addressed and, in addition, the correct use of measuring devices (multimeter, oscilloscope) and the process of soldering are practised.
