Sheet metal shears allow for chipless cutting of thin sheets made of steel and soft metals. Using a press brake, components such as covers, housings, or machine parts are shaped by bending. In this course, you will learn how to program and safely operate hydraulic CNC machines – including the sheet metal shear and press brake – to cut and bend metal sheets with precision.

Become a CNC Sheet Metal Specialist!

Using our Amada Promecam GPS 630 metal shear and the Promecam 80-25 press brake, you can cut and bend sheet metal with exceptional precision. Thanks to an automatically adjustable back gauge, the shear allows for millimeter-accurate cutting of various sizes and shapes of steel sheets. With the press brake, you can use different punches and dies in combination with programmable controls to create a range of angles and radii, shaping your material exactly as needed.

This course is a prerequisite for independently operating the machines in the MakerSpace!
